Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club is located just off the coast, only a couple of miles from the town centre. Low Road Recreation Ground is a great location for the clubhouse and boasts many features such as: Football pitches, Rugby pitches and all weather Cricket pitches for the children. This is a hotspot in the summer time for attracting beach hut viewers and passers by from all age ranges. This remote ground benefits from the nice cool breeze from the sea, so dont forget a jumper or two (just incase!)
Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club are associated with the E.C.C.B, E.C.C.C and N.E.C.B.C.
We play two teams in the "Saturday Two Counties League" (Divisions 6 and 7) and one team in the Sunday "C" Division Challenge. We also have teams in several of the Colts (childrens) age groups as well as a thriving Kwik Cricket for the schools in the local area reaching out as far as Wix. All our Colts compete in the North Essex Youth Cricket League. Our Ladies team has just amalgamated with Mistley Cricket Club in a bid to get more women interested in cricket.
Like all clubs, Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club are eager to sign new and upcoming players to fill the three teams. If anyone is interested in playing cricket, at any standard, please do not hesitate to contact us (via the link at the top of the page).
We are always welcoming new and old faces both to the Cricket Club and the clubhouse.
On a match day the bar is always open to members and visitors from around 1.30pm, with the cheapest prices around, so why not come down and have a drink whilst supporting your local cricket club.
